Fleet Foxes are Soothing My Soul [More Animal Bands]

By Shawn | June 29, 2008

Fleet Foxes

Mike already beat me to the punch with the inclusion of Fleet Foxes on his Muxtape post earlier today but since I don’t care about anybody but myself I am going to ignore him and pretended like I didn’t see that.

Fleet Foxes hail from sunny Seattle WA, the same state as our cheery friend Joey Van and successful musicians that kill themselves, so you would not be surprised to learn that a lot of the songs that Fleet Foxes include on their self titled debut album are upbeat pop jams worthy of having several songs included on NOW! THAT’S WHAT I CALL MUSIC Vol. 4578. Just kiddin they are like Band of Horses and Panda Bear fucking and having a musical (glitter?) baby that despite their somber tone make you feel good about yourself and those assholes around you. If there are several albums you listen to this year please make this one of them. And for gods sake stay behind the yellow line! But check out the video for White Winter Hymnal live at SXSW this year.
